Bad Advice, Good Advice
Yesterday Jimmy Boss heard someone give some spectacularly BAD ADVICE, which went something like:
“Do exactly what your mother tells you because she knows best.”
What the fuck?
Hey. Jimmy loves his folks. They’re family and he respects them and also their advice. But if Jimmy only did what other people told him, including his family, he wouldn’t BE BOSS.
Gotta make your own moves. Gotta make your own mistakes. It’s the only way to BE BOSS. Listening is good. But super decision is YOURS. This can be a lot like shunning organized religion mafia or religious teaching cretinos and thinking and finding the answers out for yourself. It’s hard. Especially in thoroughly brainwashed society surrounding all potential Bosses.
Yesterday Jimmy also heard some VERY GOOD advice from a Boss who called himself Sheikh Abdul:
“There are two things to remember in life. One: You gotta take ‘em by the balls, and if they give you any shit, you squeeze. Two: Be on the driver’s seat.
Good stuff.
Remembro. People are going to try to tell you what to do all the time. Gotta be tough. No gurus or bullshit deserves to be followed (including, incredibly, Jimmy The Boss!!!). Listen to advisio and conseglieri, but in the end, make the decision and follow only you—THE REAL BOSS!
